Plumber insurance in 28 states

We're licensed to insure plumbing contractors in 28 states. Each one sets its own plumbing licensing, bond and workers' comp rules, so pick your state to see what applies to your business.

Why your state matters

Plumbing insurance isn't the same everywhere. Some states license plumbing contractors statewide and require proof of insurance or a bond to get or renew a license. Others leave plumbing licensing to cities and counties. Workers' comp rules differ too: Ohio runs its own state fund, Texas lets employers opt out, and the number of employees that triggers coverage changes from state to state. Weather, housing age and local construction activity also change the risks carriers price.

Each state page covers the licensing rules, workers' comp requirements and local risks for plumbers there, plus our license number in that state.
